Waxing: What to expect during your first visit

Is there anything I can do to prepare for a bikini wax?
For best results your hair needs to be at least 6mm (1/4 inch) long.

If you normally shave, stop at least 3 weeks before coming in for waxing. If you have waxed previously please wait around 4 weeks.

Between your waxing appointments we recommend that you exfoliate your skin and steer clear of moisturizers.  Exfoliation sloughs off dead skin, allows new hair to grow and not get trapped. It will help you maintain smoother, softer and healthier skin.

Taking ibuprofen 30 min prior to  your appointment time can help lessen the pain and inflammation.

Is there anything I should NOT do before a wax appointment?
Limit the amount of caffeine or alcohol, since both can cause your skin to be dehydrated, more inflamed and more sensitive. Do not go tanning, do not soak in a hot tub and most importantly, do not shave.

Can I come during my time of the month?
Yes, but please keep in mind you can be more sensitive during this time. Normally, you are more sensitive the week before, during, and a few days after.
